Good nutrition is an essential requirement for leading a healthy life and achieving one’s full growth potential. For attaining this goal, Maharashtra government has initiated THR Supply chain scheme in view of providing the essentials to children as well as the women of the state. It can never be overemphasized that children in the 0 – 6 years’ age group are in most need of nutritious food, as it is their formative years. Take-home Rations (THR) programme provides fortified rations for home use especially for children aged between 6 and 36 months, and pregnant and lactating women. ICDS program distributes Take Home Ration (THR) to around 74 lakh beneficiaries through 100,000+ Anganwadi centers in the state of Maharashtra, every month. The targeted beneficiaries

1. Pregnant Women
2. Lactating Women
3. Child of 6 Months – 3 Years age
4. Severely Underweight (SUW) Child of 3 Years – 6 Years age (Additional THR)
5. Adolescent Girls (11–14 Years age.)
